in this specific article, we shall cover Business Management Essay

The business management lecture provided a perspective that is practical the main topic of leadership.

More specifically, the lecturer explained what leadership really means. More specifically, a leader is someone “who serves people in such an inspirational, trusting, respectful, caring way that individuals wish to follow you”. Furthermore, he emphasized that true leadership is dependant on self-leadership which means serving oneself “in such an inspirational, trusting, respectful, caring way that you would like to check out yourself”. For me, being a leader that is good pertains to business management. First of all, someone who excels at self-leadership, will almost certainly excel at leading others. Additionally, concepts of self-leadership and organizational leadership are closely intertwined. However, self-leadership always comes first. Broadly speaking, the lecture supports the idea that management is dependant on good leadership. The lecturer explains that coming to the top of a business just isn’t enough to be looked at a leader. What exactly is more, I became impressed by among the examples provided by the speaker. He told a short story: while coaching a company CEO, the coach (lecturer) asked him if he was a good leader. The CEO answered since he was chosen to lead the company that he obviously was. When asked to go with a walk through the ongoing company building, it became obvious that the CEO had not been doing well as a leader, since there is no communication and engagement between him therefore the company employees. This is a vivid example of the importance of good leadership in managing business as a matter of fact.

Next, a leader who is self-aware, leads himself/herself first, takes responsibility for his/her actions will most be a better definitely decision maker. What is much more, ethical decision making is closely connected to personal ethics. During the lecture, the speaker emphasized how important it really is to help keep tabs on one’s attitude toward others and oneself. Further, he highlighted that love and self-love for other individuals are prerequisites for leadership and self-leadership. Finally, he concluded that leadership is mostly about love: loving others and loving oneself. Because the capacity to build relationships that are effective very important for leading a business; a manager who can care for others will reach greater success than one who operates from a location other than love.

After this thought process, i really believe that this video supplements the material that we learned in operation management. While the information presented in the video sounds similar to an inspirational, philosophical speech, it features some really important points of business management. Forecasting, organizing, planning, coordinating – each one of these managerial functions can be fulfilled in effective vs. ways that are ineffective. Yet, the video provides one with valuable coaching tips on leading a company effectively. A leader who is able to self-lead efficiently will most probably have good time management skills in all other spheres for example, when it comes to time management.

Another point himself/herself: “you can lead yourself to a good place, you can lead yourself to a bad place” that I appreciated within the lecture stated that an individual is constantly leading. In addition, a manager that is good ask himself/herself listed here questions:

Have I spent time that is enough this person? Have I gotten them the proper training? Did I provide them with a review? Did I keep in touch with them effectively? Did they are showed by me love? Did I inform them just how much I care? How many times did I pat them in the back, say ‘good job’? Did I go discover what they were doing right and tell them about this? Did I smile? Did they are given by me loads of support? In the event that response is “no” to any of those the answer is “me”. It’s just me.

In summary, I would personally call the kind of leadership described within the video authentic or leadership that is inspirational. It is a kind of leadership that upholds values of empathy, understanding, compassion, collaboration, and feedback that is positive. Most importantly, prior to the leader leads anybody else, he/she must learn how to take responsibility for his/her own actions and life experiences.
