Why Moorsafe

The safety and success of a mooring system depends on generating the required  holding capacity for a competitive total cost, and above all to eliminate the risk of the anchor breaking out and losing its holding power. Moorsafe is stable in its design, performs t w i c e the holding power and halving the anchor cost and CO2 emissions compared to market leading offshore anchors.

  1. Moorsafe needs no added obstructing stabilizers and with the slender design the Moorsafe anchor penetrates deep and easy into the seabed obtaining the maximum holding power for the actual seabed conditions.
  2. Moorsafe has the highest holding power. In comparative tests, Moorsafe showed more than t w i c e the holding power compared to market-leading offshore anchors.
  3. Moorsafe anchors are stable and will not lose holding power even when subjected to up to 45 degree of sideway force.
  4. Moorsafe can even perform the highest holding power when subjected to up to 45 degree vertical uplift force.
  5. The Moorsafe design makes use of the opposing power from the seabed sediment to stabilize the construction and can therefore be produced using an extremely slender shape. The Moorsafe anchor penetrating into the seabed demonstrated in video 1.
  6. The Moorsafe design can even be used when the anchor may be subjected to 180 degree change in wind and direction of force. This is demonstrated in video 2 and 3 where the Moorsafe anchor is placed upside down before starting the pulling test.
  7. The Moorsafe anchor design gives the highest holding power in relation to anchor weight which lowers material, transport and handling costs for the preferred anchor capacity. All this put together also significantly reduces the CO2 emissions.

Tests supervised by DNV show of Moorsafe anchors excellent performance.
